I started stealing my mom’s Newports at age 13. What started off as a quick buzz, and a way to look cool turned into a long addiction in my life. My son turned 5 last year, and I know that he was starting to catch onto my habit. I remembered my father smoking when i was very young, but he had quit many years ago. During one conversation I asked him when he had quit. He told me that he smoked his last cig when I was five years old. This obviously struck me very hard as I did not want my son to steal cigarettes when he reached middle school. Smoking was always a way of life in my family. I come from a long line of tobacco users. Everyone smoked, and no one seemed to see a problem with it. I smoked my last cigarette in 2014. I was instantly taken by vaping as it would calm my nicotine cravings, and tasted great, ta-boot. There was no lingering stink on my clothes or in my car. I can honestly say that I am completely off cigarettes. I think they smell horrible, and leave a disgusting aftertaste. Many of my friends and family still smoke around me all the time. I am completely turned off by that smell. My vaporizer suits me just fine. I can smell things I couldn’t smell before, I can run again and I don’t hack up tar and other crap like I did when I smoked. Thanks to vaping! Anyone who says that vaping is not a method to quit smoking needs to talk to me and the many other folks I know that have similar stories. Vaping will lead to a healthier life for me and my family. Vape on!
