I started smoking in my freshman year of high school and continued smoking without cessation until February of this year. I smoked 1.5-2 packs a day from 17 until I quit, and it seriously affected my ability to perform basic physical functions and exercise. I hated how I felt and how angry I was when I wasn’t getting my fix, so I switched to vaping. I tried to quit multiple times using gum and it never worked, often made it even worse because I’d run out of gum and get irritated that I’d still wanted smokes. I smoked fruit/melon flavors, not because they’re “kiddy” or “child-oriented,” but because they tasted good and it felt different than smoking. I have been exclusively vaping for going on three weeks and I have already noticed positive changes.
