I am 77 years old and smoked on and off from age 15. More on than off like everyone else. It’s been 10 years and being around cigarette smokers doesn’t bother me anymore.
After smoking 2 packed a day in the traditional on and off concept in 2009 I finally decided enough is enough. Not getting any younger and cigarettes can’t be helping. My first e-cig looked like a cigarette and had 18 mg of nic. Thought I was going to throw up. Went down to 12 and it was ok. In about 4 months I went to 6mg and 4 months later went to 0. Have been there every sense. I have gone several days without my e-cig and have not noticed any problems. You do notice the lack of playing with the e-cig but not the actual smoking.
I remember the old saying “quitting smoking is easy, I have done it hundreds of times” The e-cig was the final time and permanent one.
Had a VA 3 sided chest x-ray last December and the doctor commented that it was “good to see someone that doesn’t smoke”. I chose not to break his bubble.
