I started smoking at the age of 16 because of peer pressure and wanting to look cool. My mother is allergic, and though I stopped smoking for the duration of my pregnancy in 2010, shortly after my daughter was born, I started again. Shortly after, we found out she’s allergic, too. She didn’t like to cuddle with me because she couldn’t breathe. They always complained how terrible my clothes smelled because of my smoking. I also used to sing (competitions and special events) and after more than a decade of smoking, I didn’t have the range I used to. In September of ’14, I bought my first starter kit and by Thanksgiving, life was 1000x better! My daughter was cuddling with me, and running up to give me huge hugs. I performed a huge solo at my church’s Christmas party because I was getting my range back. I can do things with her. And play with her: at 5, she’s got a lot of energy. I’ve tried pills, patches and gum … Nothing worked until a friend got me vaping. It’s been over a year now, and I wouldn’t trade it for anything in the world. At 31 I’m smoke-free and I have my family back … Vaping saved my life, and renewed it, too!
